On a shutter has an overlapping lip or molded edge. It covers the center gap where two shutter panels meet when closed. This stops light from shining through. It also gives the closed shutters a neat, finished look.
50 Astragal Stile
What is Astragal ?
When we have a pair of doors/panels we offer astragal overlap The advantages of the astragal it hides light gap. Typically used also offered on interior shutters
But on single doors it does have an astral because does not overlap to another door. The panel buts up to the frame.

This is part of the shutter panel
Not to be confused with style, a stile is the side of a shutter panel that holds the ends of the louvers in place. Every shutter panel has two stiles, one on the left, and one on the right.

What is a Beaded Stile?
What is Beaded Stile ?
Definition: The stile is the long, upright outer vertical wood or composite member that holds the pivoting louvers (slats).
The Bead: A beaded option means a subtle decorative groove and ridge are routed or molded onto the inner edge or face of the stile.
Function: It is primarily an aesthetic detail. It adds a traditional, classic, or custom architectural look compared to a plain, flat, minimalist stile. It does not affect the structural strength or basic operation of the shutter

#8 in the sample box Aluminum 100 Top & Bottom Board/Rail
This is part of the shutter panel
The top and bottom rails are solid horizontal pieces that frame an exterior shutter. The top rails caps the summit, and the bottom rail anchors the base. They connect the vertical side stiles to lock the shape in place, give the panel structural strength, and provide solid zones for mounting hardware like hinges

#9 in the sample box-Aluminum Adjustable Rail
This is part of the shutter panel
Telescopic Profile: Made of two interlocking aluminum pieces that slide together or apart.
Height Customization: Compensates for minor measuring differences or non-standard window openings.
Slat Spacing: Adjusts slightly to ensure the louver blades space out evenly without awkward gaps at the top or bottom.

# 11 in the sample box-Aluminum Mid Rail/Divider Rail
This is part of the shutter panel
A Divider rail (or mid rail) is a solid, stationary horizontal bar built across the middle of a shutter panel. It separates the upper and lower louvers so you can tilt and adjust the top and bottom sections of the opening completely independent of each other.
MId Rail
Midrail : Standard is 76.2mm.=2.992 inches. The mid rail height is always from the bottom of the window to center of the midrail. You can specify the mid rail height by yourself. It will be adjusted either up or down due to the blade size. If a Panel is 1500mm in height =(59.055 inches / 4 feet and 11.06 inches) at least 1 mid rail is required to stabilize the frame. If the Panel is 2500mm in height=(98.42inches / 8 feet and 2.43 inches). then 2 mid rails are required to stabilize the frame.
Decisions on where the mid rail is placed. Things to consider.
A divider rail (or mid-rail) on a shutter is a solid horizontal bar that splits a single shutter panel into separate upper and lower sections. It is used to give you independent control over light and privacy, add structural strength to tall panels.
Independent Operation: It separates the top and bottom louvers so you can tilt them separately. You can close the bottom slats for privacy while keeping the top slats open for sunlight or wind.
Measure the “division point” from the bottom of the shutter to the desired center of the divider rail. Shutters with solid panels will have the divider rail placed at that location. The actual position for louvered or combination shutters may be slightly higher or lower to accommodate the spacing of the slats.
Required Mid Rail/DividerRail if height of 1 panel is over 59”inches-One Mid Rail
over 96” inches-Two Mid Rails
#12 in the sample box Aluminum 50 T Post
T-post is a vertical or horizontal support bar used inside a multi-panel shutter frame. It adds structural strength for wide setups, prevents sagging, aligns with the opening.

#13 in the sample box-Aluminum Z Frame
A Z-frame on a shutter is an inside-mount frame shaped like the letter “Z” in profile. One part of the frame sits inside the window recess, while the outer lip or flange overlaps the front edge of the wall or window casing to create a clean, finished.

#18 in the sample box Aluminum-Top U Channel
On an exterior or outdoor shutter (such as fixed aluminum or plantation-style exterior shutters), a U-channel acts as a secure, low-Profile mounting track. The horseshoe-shaped profile is screwed or secured to the top and bottom (or sides) of a window frame or opening, allowing the static shutter panel to drop snugly into place.
Top U Channel
#19 in the sample Aluminum-Bottom U Channel
A bottom U-channel on an exterior or track-mounted shutter holds the bottom edge of the shutter panel in place. It guides the sliding or stationary panel, stops the shutter from swinging or rattling in the wind.
